Section 34
Powers of Customs Officers to Prevent Importation of Unauthorized Copies

(1) If there is a suspicion that someone is about to import unauthorized copies of material into Nepal in violation of Section 26, he may submit an application to the customs officer with proof to stop the importation of such material.
(2) If an application is received in accordance with sub-section (1), the customs officer, after conducting the necessary investigation, finds that the petitioner's demand is unreasonable, he may detain the goods to be imported for ten working days at a time for a maximum of twenty working days.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) and (2), an application may be made before the customs officer.
(2) If an application is received in accordance with sub-section (1), the customs officer, after conducting the necessary investigation, finds that the petitioner's demand is unreasonable, he may detain the goods to be imported for ten working days at a time for a maximum of twenty working days.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) and (2), the Customs Officer shall, in Nepal ………. If it is known or suspected that the material of unauthorized copying is about to be imported into the country, such material can be stopped for ten working days at a time for a maximum of twenty working days.
(4) Other procedures related to stopping the importation of unauthorized copies shall be as prescribed.
